Peter has been asked to be a participating poet with IMMAGINE&POESIA, the artistic literary movement founded in Torino, Italy, in 2007, in an ongoing Poetry and Art Project. Lidia Chiarelli, poet and translator, has already translated and published work from his collection The Lizard Catchers and from Poet to Poet # 1 Bridging the Waters: Swansea to Sag Harbor (with New York's Vince Clemente).

This is the first in a series of courses which will look at different subjects, including poetry, writing for children, and short story writing.
USP: Opportunity to write in the house where Dylan wrote over 2/3rds of his published work and to experience the local areas that inspired his work, including Cwmdonkin Park and the Uplands.
The course will concentrate on participation, and students will be encouraged to develop their own writing and poetry style.
Course Tutor Peter Thabit Jones is a poet and writer with an international reputation who grew up in the St Thomas area of Swansea.
He is an acknowledged expert on the work of Dylan Thomas.
In 2008 he and the late Aeronwy Thomas, Dylan’s daughter, developed the Dylan Thomas Walking Tour of Greenwich Village on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government in New York. He is the founder and editor of the international poetry magazine The Seventh Quarry.

Peter recently recorded a selection of his poems on the set of A PASSAGE TO INDIA in the Vitalist Theatre, Chicago, America, for e-poets' Book of Voices.
Aeronwy Thomas also recorded a selection of her poems.
The Book of Voices is e-poets' new media library of poetry in spoken word, performance, and text. It's a portal into aural poetry culture gathered from some of the more interesting voices of our day, with readings from the USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe.

A new bilingual - 200 pages - collection (English/Romanian) WHISPERS OF THE SOUL, featuring the poems of Peter Thabit Jones and New York's Vince Clemente, translated by Dr. Olimpia Iacob has been published, Spring 2008, by EDITURA FUNDATIEI POEZIA IASI, Romania.
Peter was invited to participate in this year's International Poetry Festival in Satu Mare, Romania. The Festival took place from 20th to 25th October, 2008. He read his own poetry, which has been translated into Romanian by Dr. Olimpia Iacob, and gave a talk on Dylan Thomas and cynghanedd to a classroom of college students. His talk on Dylan will be published in POESIS, a leading Romanian literary journal. The popular festival hosted poets from around the world.
Peter has been appointed Guest Editor of the 2009 Long Island Sounds Anthology. An annual publication, it is a bumper collection of poems published by Tammy Nuzzo-Morgan, poet, editor and publisher, of The North Sea Poetry Scene Press, Long Island, America.
Peter and singer-songwriter Terry Clarke have been filmed by a crew of The Wales Show, a weekly arts and entertainment television series on HTV, presented by Andrea Benfield, for a forthcoming programme. It highlights the planned American dvd of the Walking Guide of Dylan Thomas's Greenwich Village, New York, which is being produced by Stanley H. Barkan's Cross-Cultural Communications. Peter talks about his upcoming May to June visit to New York, which will see him giving poetry readings and talks, including some at the Wales International Center in the Chrysler Building, and he reads one of his poems in Swansea places connected with Dylan Thomas. Terry performs two of his songs about Dylan Thomas, which are from his next album of songs about the Welsh legend.
Peter's verse drama, THE BOY AND THE LION'S HEAD, is to be published by Citadela Publishing House, Romania. His publisher is Aurel Pop,
who is also a poet and journalist. The bilingual edition (Romanian and English), which has been translated by Dr. Olimpia Iacob, will include a
12 page Commentary on the verse drama by New York poet and critic Vince Clemente. It will be a study text for university students and a commercial text.
